about

In 2001, I went on a vacation to Ireland and came back married to an Irishman. My memoir, An American in Belfast (not yet published), is a personal journey into a darker side of Ireland, one of paramilitaries, bomb scares, and sectarian violence.

At the end of 2015, I helped publish The Harp and the Loon: Literary Bridges Between Ireland and Minnesota as the project's Managing Editor as well as contributor on behalf of the Celtic Collaborative Press.

I have been a guest speaker on local radio, at the Minnesota Irish Fair, and at various literary events, reading from my memoir and discussing my experiences of life in Northern Ireland.

During my time as Executive Director of the literary arts nonprofit Celtic Collaborative, I co-created the Celtic Collaborative Press. I also regularly organized and hosted Irish pub-style literary readings in the Twin Cities, featuring writers and poets from the local Irish community.  In addition, I taught college writing. I have a Master's degree in Creative Writing and Literary Publishing from Hamline University.

Currently, my time is focused on editing manuscripts, collaborative writing projects, and starting a small press publishing women writers from Minnesota's vibrant literary community.
